You decide whether to connect a bank
You can use Amanzaman without connecting a bank: transactions can be entered manually or imported from a supported CSV file. Automatic bank connection is optional, available from Basic, and provided through GoCardless Bank Account Data (formerly Nordigen).
When you start a connection, you are redirected to GoCardless and, where applicable, your bank for authorisation. Amanzaman does not store online-banking passwords. Depending on the bank, processed data includes technical connection and account identifiers, account name, balance, transaction data, payees, references, currency, and authorisation status.
Use AI deliberately and selectively
AI features are optional and available on Pro. Payees that have not yet been normalised may be sent to OpenAI for assignment. A payee may be a company, a person's name, or another part of the transaction text.
The technical AI request contains the payee, locally derived candidates and, where available, metadata such as country, currency, merchant category, or bank transaction code. Your username, email address, bank credentials, and transaction amounts are not sent to the AI model. Results are suggestions, not decisions with legal effect.
Delete your account and data yourself
Start deletion in the app under “Profile → Delete account and data”. To confirm, you must re-enter your password and explicitly agree to permanent deletion.
If there are no other members in the tenant, the user, the entire tenant area, and its local financial data are deleted. If other members remain, only your user account is removed; shared tenant data remains for them. Bank connections are disconnected. For the final member, the Stripe customer is also deleted, ending any active subscription.
